About Me

Mojdeh Newsha Seyyedi is a feisty Persian girl and the eldest of four siblings born in Iran, a patriarchal dictatorship where women’s voices are constantly ignored and hushed. She lived an eventful life as a young, religious minority facing fear, insecurity, and rejection on top of normal teenage struggles while her family was constantly under the threat of persecution.

When she was eighteen, her family decided to leave their challenging life behind and move to Turkey as a refuge for a better and safer future. She came to the United States in 2000 with hopes and dreams of a free and fulfilling life; however, she had to face new challenges as a young woman. Somewhere along the way, she found her voice and took control and ownership of her journey in life.

Now she lives a peaceful life in California with her loving family. She is a critical care nurse and life coach. She enjoys facing challenges and also helping others find their voice and strength to live a life they love. Her current passions include traveling, adventure, painting, dancing, hiking, reading books, self-growth, and development programs. She loves animals and nature and is a strong advocate for human, animal, and environmental rights. She loves spending quality time with her family and close friends. She makes sure to always have time for them in her busy schedule.

Mojdeh speaks from a deep understanding and processing of life experiences. Instead of sugar coating or positivity she speaks from a grounded sense of self and truth.

  2. Emily

Mojdeh really wrote from her heart and walked us through some of the most troubling times in her life. She has set an example of what a true healer is in my eyes and she has inspired me everyday that I have known her to be a better person for the world and for ourselves. She truly helps you view the positive in all of life’s situations. She is a one of a kind beauty who has experienced a painful past but she hasn’t let that stop her become the most powerful being she could be. All of these life experiences she has shared has brought her to her higher purpose. I truly know Mojdeh was put on this earth to be a healer of all and you can feel the power in her words while your eyes glide through the pages. I am so excited to continue to watch her succeed in all of life’s adventures and reading this chapter has helped me understand her deeper to her core. I am so unbelievably proud to call her one of my soul sisters! Love you always Mojdeh, your words heal people. Xoxo Emily

  5. Hannah Vitrano

Mojdeh wrote an amazing chapter about some of the most painful experiences in her life and how she didn’t let anything define her story. She gives you insight into her life and the tools she used to heal. She is so brave for giving us a glimpse into her life. Everyone can relate to her story in some way. I love how she wrote ways for the reader to grow and accept the past. My favorite part was when she talked about setting boundaries with people in our life. We could all use some.

I usually never write reviews. However, I could not put this book down. I really resonated with the story of Mojdeh Seyyedi. Her story is written 100% from the heart. You will find that by reading this, it is like Mojdeh talking to you personally. It does not hold back. It is so genuine and authentic. Not only did it give me motivation, but, it gave me inspiration. This book is different than the generic self-help books that many of us have read. This book and her story is truly life-changing. Mojdeh is genuine, courageous and gets truly vulnerable as she reveals her life story. I began to cry as she detailed her childhood. It made me truly think about my life and I how I have no excuse to be mediocre. All throughout her story, Mojdeh’s life experience revealed that I can create any life that I desire, by my own choices and actions regardless of my past. Mojdeh is the real deal. She knows first-hand what struggle and hardship are like, yet has accomplished many impressive feats and became one of the strongest and toughest people on the planet. I highly recommend this book and especially Mojdeh’s story. I loved it so much, I bought extras to give away as gifts. This book and Mojdeh’s story truly IS a gift to the universe. – Brenda Bautista

  7. Galen

Mojdeh’s account of a couple heart-breaking events from her youth, the tolls they took on her, and the amazing work she has done to heal herself really allowed me to empathize for her. As a man, oftentimes I am unaware of the challenges and pressures that women feel. This could be to keep quiet after being sexually assaulted or wondering if their clothing choices will invite unwanted sexual attention. I feel that just by reading the short chapter that Mojdeh contributed to The Sacred Feminine book, my compassion and understanding towards women has unalterably been brought up.

  8. Christiana

Mojdeh writes a chapter that is raw and vulnerable sharing a powerful message about boundaries. Her resilient character and beauty shine through her as she has faced immense challenges. It is a privilege to read her insight and I am encouraged in my life.
